Details of the Job/Internship

SPAB & Co. is hiring a Junior Lawyer with experience of 1 year or less to join its office in Velachery, Chennai. This is a full-time, on-site role involving assistance in legal research, drafting of legal documents, court and tribunal appearances, contract review, trial preparation, client communication, compliance with legal regulations, and coordination with senior attorneys and external stakeholders.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assisting in legal research and drafting of legal documents.
• Appearing before courts and tribunals.
• Reviewing contracts.
• Supporting trial preparation.
• Maintaining client communication.
• Ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
• Coordinating with senior attorneys and external stakeholders to facilitate legal processes.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
• Bar certification is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of legal principles, legal research, and contract drafting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and basic office software.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to appear before courts and handle filings in the registry.

Salary/Stipend
