Details of the Job/Internship
John & John Advocates Solicitors & Conveyancers is hiring for the position of Junior Legal Advisor with experience of 0-2 years to join their Kochi office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on various topics, including contract law, corporate law, and compliance regulations.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, memorandums, and correspondence.
- Prepare legal opinions and analysis on complex issues, summarizing key points for internal stakeholders.
- Manage legal case files, tracking deadlines and key milestones.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate legal risks.
- Provide timely updates on legal matters to relevant departments.
- Support senior legal counsel in litigation matters, including document review and preparation for hearings.
- Stay abreast of legal developments and industry trends, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
- 0-2 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and #interpret legal statutes and precedents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
