Details of the Job/Internship
Slater and Gordon Lawyers is hiring a Junior Legal Assistant to join their Workers Compensation team at the Ringwood office. This is a full-time, permanent role offering flexible work arrangements and a one-to-one partnership supporting a lawyer. The role focuses on administration and client support to help drive the practice’s success.
Role and Responsibilities
- Providing professional care and support to clients.
- Supporting the team with general file management and administration.
- Coordinating appointments for lawyers, medico-legal appointments, conferences and mediations.
- Communicating with clients, insurers and other professionals in writing and verbally.
- Preparing legal correspondence and compiling court documents.
- Demonstrating organisation, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously or in a team.
- Taking a proactive approach and showing initiative.
Eligibility
- Previous experience as an assistant, personal assistant or legal secretary, preferably in personal injury law.
- Australian citizen, permanent resident, or holder of a valid visa with full and unrestricted work rights in Australia.
