Details of the Job/Internship
Ascend is hiring a Junior Legal Associate with experience of 2 years to join their organization on a fully remote basis. The training period is 2 months, followed by a probationary period of 6 months.
Role and Responsibilities
- Negotiate, draft, and review legal documents under U.S. Immigration law, including EB1, EB2 NIW, and O1A matters.
- Address legal and privacy-related queries.
- Conduct legal research.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting clients.
- Organise case documents, update case management software, and track deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information.
Eligibility
- Law graduate with 2 years of experience.
- Strong legal research and drafting skills for legal documents, memoranda, and reports.
- Ability to critically analyse legal issues, statutes, regulations, and case law.
- Clear understanding of legal concepts, terminology, and procedures.
- Familiarity with professional responsibility rules and client confidentiality.
- Proficiency in legal research databases, MS Word, MS Excel, and Google Workspace.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise assignments, and meet deadlines.
