Talrop is hiring a Junior Legal Associate with experience of 0 to 1 year to join their office in Kochi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Corporate Compliance : Assist in the development and implementation of corporate compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and take appropriate action.
- Document Drafting and Review: Draft and review various legal and commercial documents, including contracts, agreements, policies, and memoranda.
- Ensure all documents are accurate, compliant with legal standards, and aligned with the company's objectives.
- Company Secretarial Support : Assist in managing company secretarial matters, including the preparation and coordination of board and general meetings.
- Handle statutory filings and maintain corporate governance reCords.
- Maintain and update relevant statutory books registers.
- Legal Research and Analysis.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support the legal team in making informed decisions.
- Prepare legal summaries and reports on various legal topics and issues.
- Administrative and Organizational Support: Provide administrative support to the legal team, including scheduling meetings and managing correspondence.
- Organize and prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines and support the team's objectives.
Eligibility
- Ability to take initiative and lead tasks independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in drafting clear and concise legal documentsAbility to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- 0-1 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in Corporate law ora related field.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, compliance, and governance practices.
- Excellent drafting skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrityand professionalism.
Salary/Stipend
