Details of the Job/Internship

Kwalee is hiring a Junior Legal Counsel with 3+ years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Deliver clear, strategic legal advice on commercial, regulatory, and operational matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure company-wide legal compliance.
• Manage and protect Kwalee’s intellectual property, including enforcement efforts.
• Support legal dispute resolution and liaise with external counsel when needed.
• Conduct legal research and prepare concise reports and risk assessments.
• Assist with data protection compliance and incident response procedures.
• Lead and contribute to internal training on legal best practices and risk management.
• Provide legal support for M&A, partnerships, and corporate initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records and oversee legal documentation and contract workflows.

Eligibility

• Qualified legal professional (Solicitor or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in-house or in the tech/gaming industry.
• Strong expertise in commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property.
• Solid knowledge of UK data protection laws and GDPR.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• A genuine interest in gaming and the games industry is a strong plus.
• Willingness to work full-time from our Bangalore office.

Salary/Stipend
