Details of the Job/Internship

Kwalee is looking for a candidate for the position of Junior Legal Counsel with 3+ years of experience to join them at their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to internal teams on commercial, regulatory, and operational matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of contracts with stakeholders.
• Monitor legal and regulatory changes and ensure business compliance.
• Assist with managing intellectual property, including enforcement actions.
• Support the resolution of legal disputes and coordinate with external counsel.
• Conduct legal research and prepare reports for senior management.
• Support data protection compliance efforts and incident response.
• Deliver internal training sessions on legal compliance and risk mitigation.
• Provide legal support for M&A, partnerships, and other corporate initiatives.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Assist with contract administration, document management, and legal operations.

Eligibility

• Qualified solicitor or equivalent legal qualification.
• 3+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally in-house or within the tech/gaming sector.
• Strong experience with commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and IP.
• Solid understanding of UK data protection laws and GDPR.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Passion for games and interest in the gaming industry is a plus.
• Based in our Bangalore office with 5 days per week on site.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
