Details of the Job/Internship

Sustainability Economics is hiring for the position of Junior Legal Counsel with 0-2 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft and review a variety of commercial contracts, including NDAs, advisory, and consulting agreements.
• Evaluate third-party agreements to identify key risks, obligations, and legal implications.
• Maintain organized records, version control, and document archives for contracts and templates.
• Assist in developing, updating, and reviewing internal policies to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Conduct legal research and provide support on corporate and regulatory matters.
• Perform basic due diligence on counterparties and submitted documents.
• Manage execution workflows for contracts (wet and e-signatures) and track final versions.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external counsel to address legal queries and initiatives.
• Ensure consistency and quality in legal templates, including formatting and approval processes.

Eligibility

• Law degree (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in a corporate legal team or law firm preferred.
• Sound understanding of contract law and corporate legal principles.
• Strong research, drafting, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational ability.
• Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential matters.

Salary/Stipend
