Details of the Job/Internship

Velodata Global Pvt Ltd is hiring for the position of Junior Legal Counsel with 1-3 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and revise commercial contracts such as NDAs, vendor agreements, and service contracts.
• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE laws, including DIFC/ADGM frameworks and other financial regulations.
• Conduct legal research across multiple jurisdictions on corporate, regulatory, and contractual matters.
• Maintain and manage legal documentation, compliance registers, and corporate records.
• Liaise with external legal counsel for litigation matters, regulatory filings, and special projects.
• Monitor evolving laws and regulatory updates relevant to the group’s business.
• Provide day-to-day legal support and guidance to internal teams under senior counsel supervision.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B); Master’s or LL.M preferred.
• 1–3 years of legal experience, preferably in commercial law or financial services (law firm or in-house).
• Familiarity with UAE legal and regulatory frameworks, particularly in the FinTech space, is an advantage.
• Strong legal drafting, analytical, and research skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Proactive mindset with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
