Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) is a service-oriented, non-profit guarantee company registered in 1984 under Section 25 of the Companies Act. It was originally formed by members of the Diamond Exporters Fraternity along with the Minerals and Metals Trading Corporation of India (MMTC).
Details of the Job/Internship
Bharat Diamond Bourse is hiring a Junior Legal Executive to join its Mumbai office. The role involves contract drafting, member coordination, maintenance of legal records, and supporting day-to-day legal department activities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, vetting, and red-lining domestic and international contracts, including service agreements.
- Draft basic legal documents for construction projects and ensure compliance with construction laws and regulations.
- Prepare damage claims and assist in resolving buy-sell matters.
- Handle member queries relating to legal agreements and act as the first point of contact for members.
- Maintain records of all legal agreements and documents.
- Follow up with members for completion of documentation related to contracts and leave and license agreements.
- Update data using SAP or other computer software as required for MMRDA processes relating to mortgage and member-to-member leave and license.
- Prepare covering letters and hand over original MMRDA NOCs to members for mortgage and member-to-member leave and license.
- Update and maintain the MMRDA NOC list.
- Arrange agreement registration documents and coordinate with consultants.
- Provide day-to-day legal updates to legal consultants.
- Assist in drafting minutes of meetings.
