Details of the Job/Internship
Indigo Group is hiring for the position of Land Revenue Compliance Officer with 3-5 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Role and Responsibilities
- Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to applicable land revenue laws, land reform acts, and government notifications.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of land holdings, title deeds, mutations, and revenue receipts.
- Tax & Revenue Documentation: Monitor timely payment of land taxes and cess, managing challans, receipts, and other related documents.
- Government Liaison: Coordinate with local land revenue authorities (Tehsildar, Patwari, etc.) for obtaining records like Khatauni, Jamabandi, and Khasra maps.
- Title Verification & Due Diligence: Assist in verifying and conducting due diligence of land titles and ownership during acquisitions, sales, and leasing.
- Litigation Management: Handle land-related disputes and represent the organization in revenue offices and quasi-judicial forums.
- Dispute Resolution: Assist in resolving disputes related to encroachments, demarcations, or boundary issues.
- Database Management: Maintain internal databases of land assets and revenue compliance status.
- Survey Coordination: Liaise with survey departments for mapping and re-survey of land parcels.
- Reporting: Prepare regular compliance reports and risk assessments for internal stakeholders.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Land Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in land revenue compliance, land record management, or government liaison roles.
- Strong understanding of local land laws, revenue codes, and property registration procedures.
- Ability to interpret legal land documents such as Patta, Sale Deed, Mutation Entry, and RTC records.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with government officials and legal teams.
- Proficiency in local language(s) and knowledge of government land record portals (e.g., Bhulekh, Dharani).
