Details of the Job/Internship

Prakhar Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is hiring a HOD-Law with minimum 6 years of experience to join them in Ahmedabad office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise faculty members within the Law department.
• Promote a collaborative and inclusive academic environment.
• Ensure the implementation of institutional goals and strategies within the department.
• Manage the departmental budget and resources effectively.
• Foster academic excellence by guiding and supporting faculty in their research and teaching endeavors.
• Oversee the development, review, and continuous improvement of the law curriculum.
• Ensure that the curriculum reflects the latest developments in the legal field and meets accreditation standards.
• Monitor student progress and assess the effectiveness of teaching methods.
• Oversee course scheduling, staffing, and assignment of teaching responsibilities.
• Manage departmental accreditation processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and manage student assessments, academic evaluations, and outcomes.
• Encourage and support faculty research, publications, and participation in academic conferences.
• Develop partnerships with legal professionals and organizations to enhance the department's academic reputation.
• Promote research projects and provide resources to faculty for research development.
• Provide academic counseling and guidance to students pursuing law studies.
• Develop strategies to enhance student engagement, retention, and success.
• Organize guest lectures, workshops, and networking events with legal professionals to benefit students.
• Ensure adherence to university policies, legal education standards, and ethical guidelines.
• Report to the Dean/Academic Director on departmental activities, challenges, and accomplishments.

Eligibility

Education:

• LLM (Master of Laws) degree from a recognized institution.
• A PhD in Law is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 years of teaching experience at a university or law school, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven experience in curriculum design, academic administration, and faculty management.

Skills:

• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• In-depth knowledge of contemporary legal issues, trends, and legal research methodologies.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and collaborative academic environment.
• Proficient in using academic technologies and learning management systems (LMS).
