Details of the Job/Internship

Unity Small Finance Bank is hiring a Law Intern for a tenure of one year to join its office at Santacruz, Mumbai. The role involves supporting legal and secretarial compliance functions, assisting with audits and regulatory inspections, and handling documentation and statutory requirements. Candidates should be willing to travel daily to Santacruz, Mumbai, and candidates residing on the Western line will be preferred.

Role and Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with the Companies Act, 2013, SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015, Banking Regulations, and applicable circulars.
• Drafting and reviewing legal contracts and agreements.
• Finalising agendas, minutes, and circular resolutions of Board, Committee, and General Meetings.
• Maintaining statutory registers.
• Filing e-forms with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
• Handling monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual compliances under applicable laws and regulations.
• Formulating, reviewing, and implementing policies and SOPs pertaining to the Secretarial team.
• Assisting internal, statutory, and secretarial auditors in audit activities.
• Providing data for RBI inspections.
• Handling complaints, requests, and queries from PNCPS and equity warrant holders.
• Processing payment of dividends as per the RBI scheme of amalgamation.
• Ensuring that agendas of Board and Committee meetings are uploaded on Cimplyfive.
• Processing corporate actions with respect to debentures.

Eligibility

• Good understanding of the Companies Act, 2013.
• Excellent drafting and reviewing skills of agreements.
• Ability to interpret Acts and Regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
