Details of the Job/Internship

GreenTech Environ Management Pvt. Ltd. is hiring a Law Officer with 2–5 years of experience to join its Legal Department in Kolkata. The role involves handling the organisation’s legal matters, coordinating with external legal professionals, representing the company before lower courts and tribunals, and ensuring effective legal support and compliance.

Role and Responsibilities

• Coordinate with legal vendors, panel advocates, and senior counsels.
• Follow up on case progress, hearings, and legal opinions.
• Maintain records of ongoing and closed cases.
• Appear and present cases before lower courts, tribunals, and quasi-judicial authorities.
• Assist senior advocates during hearings and case preparation.
• Handle filing, listing, and procedural compliances in courts.
• Draft, review, and vet legal documents including agreements, notices, replies, affidavits, petitions, and pleadings.
• Ensure accuracy and timely submission of legal documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations relevant to the organisation.
• Provide legal inputs to management on risks and preventive legal measures.
• Track changes in laws and inform management of their implications.
• Liaise with courts, advocates’ offices, government departments, and legal vendors.
• Coordinate documentation, hearings, and statutory filings.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a recognised university.
• Enrolment with a State Bar Council preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in litigation and court practice.
• Experience in independently handling matters before lower courts.
• Candidates must be based in Kolkata.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
