Details of the Job/Internship
Elias Neocleous & Co LLC is hiring a Lawyer with experience in court proceedings, primarily in Banking Law and Family Law, to join their office in Limassol. The role includes handling court procedures, drafting legal documents, and maintaining effective communication with clients and authorities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Appear before courts of all levels.
- Handle court procedures and hearings.
- Draft and review pleadings, legal documents, and legal opinions.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and associates.
- Liaise with banks, credit institutions, public authorities, government departments, and private organisations.
- Conduct legal research using tools such as Leginet, Cylaw, LexisNexis, Westlaw, and legal literature.
- Ensure compliance with the professional code of conduct for lawyers.
Eligibility
- Law degree.
- Postgraduate qualification (LLM and/or LPC and/or BPTC Barrister at Law) is an advantage.
- Registered Advocate with a valid practising licence.
- Experience handling cases before District and Family Courts and conducting hearings; experience in Banking Law is an advantage.
- Ability to conduct legal research and review legislation and case law.
- Excellent command of Greek and English.
- Excellent computer literacy.
- Strong initiative, commitment, and responsibility.
- Ability to work diligently under tight deadlines.
