International Institute of Business Studies (IIBS) is hiring for the position of lawyer with 3+ years of experience to join their Bengaluru office.
Role and Responsibilities
Legal & Compliance:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MoUs, and agreements.
- Ensure compliance with educational regulations of statutory bodies.
- Handle legal documentation, notices, and litigation related to the institution.
- Represent IIBS in legal proceedings and coordinate with external legal counsels.
- Provide legal advice on HR matters, student affairs, and institutional policies.
- Conduct due diligence on institutional collaborations, partnerships, and vendor agreements.
- Stay updated on education laws, labor laws, and regulatory frameworks.
- Assist in handling intellectual property matters, trademarks, and policy formulations.
Property & Documentation:
- Verify and scrutinize property-related documents for institutional expansion or transactions.
- Conduct legal due diligence on property acquisitions, leases, and agreements.
- Ensure compliance with land and property laws, title verification, and registration processes.
- Liaise with government authorities for property-related approvals and documentation.
Eligibility
- LLB/LLM from a recognized university.
- 3+ years of experience in corporate, educational, or property-related legal matters.
- Strong knowledge of education laws, labor laws, property laws, and regulatory compliances.
- Experience in handling litigation, arbitration, and contract negotiations.
- Expertise in property documentation, verification, and due diligence.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
