Details of the Job/Internship

MZM Legal LLP is expanding its team in Mumbai and is hiring for two distinct litigation tracks. 

Positions Offered:

• Criminal Litigation Lawyer: 3–5 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Commercial Lawyer: 5+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).

Role and Responsibilities

• For Criminal Litigation:
  • Represent clients in criminal proceedings, particularly in white-collar crime and economic offenses.
  • Draft petitions, bail applications, and representations for investigating agencies.
  • Conduct deep legal research on penal codes and special statutes (PMLA, PC Act, etc.).
• For Commercial Litigation:
  • Manage high-value commercial disputes, arbitrations, and insolvency matters.
  • Draft complex commercial pleadings, notices, and settlement agreements.
  • Strategize litigation pathways for corporate clients to mitigate legal and reputational risk.

Eligibility

• Criminal Litigation Lawyer: 3–5 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in criminal law.
• Commercial Lawyer: 5+ years of PQE in commercial litigation or corporate disputes.
• Strong academic background and excellent oral advocacy skills.
• Proven track record in handling matters before the High Court and specialized tribunals.
• Passion for litigation and a proactive approach to case management.
