Details of the Job/Internship
Birla Estates is hiring a Lead – Litigation to oversee all facets of litigation and compliance to join their office in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review notices and prepare reply pleadings in consultation with the User Department.
- Coordinate with the National Legal Head for approvals and litigation strategy.
- Maintain and update notice and litigation trackers.
- Plan dispute settlements through negotiation and mediation at the notice stage.
- Prepare synopses and litigation documents for internal and external review.
- Manage case discussions with internal teams and external solicitors.
- Draft replies, affidavits, injunction notices, and rejoinders where required.
- Attend court hearings and prepare summaries for the National Legal Head.
- Review court orders and identify grounds for appeal if necessary.
- Oversee filing of civil or criminal proceedings in compliance with regulations.
- Prepare monthly legal MIS reports and maintain accurate legal records.
