Details of the Job/Internship
Tesco Business Solutions is hiring a Lead – Legal Counsel (Contracts) with 3–5 years of post-qualification experience to join its Bengaluru office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate diverse contracts, including goods for resale and goods not for resale.
- Provide legal advice on commercial agreements and ensure compliance with group standards.
- Collaborate with specialist legal teams in data protection, competition law, and IP.
- Identify legal risks and propose commercially viable solutions.
- Support process simplification and innovation using legal technology tools.
- Liaise with UK and international legal teams to ensure consistent contract practices.
- Manage documentation related to UK properties and ensure compliance with UK laws.
- Contribute to continuous improvement (CI) and innovation initiatives within the team.
Eligibility
- Law graduate with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience from a leading UK or Indian law firm.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Knowledge of UK contract laws preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
