Details of the Job/Internship

WNS is hiring for the position of Lead Attorney with 7-8 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Act as a key liaison for employee engagement on compliance matters, offering guidance and building cross-functional alignment to strengthen compliance visibility.
• Develop and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures to promote ethical conduct; collaborate on automation opportunities to streamline compliance functions.
• Drive organization-wide initiatives on anti-corruption, ethical conduct, and Client RFP compliance.
• Conduct third-party risk assessments for vendors and clients from an anti-corruption, fair dealing, and trade sanctions perspective.
• Oversee gift and entertainment registers, ensuring pre-approvals for expenses related to clients, vendors, and especially state-owned entities or related parties.
• Support internal investigations: engage with whistleblowers, coordinate with investigators, analyze evidence, and contribute to detailed investigation reports.
• Manage the Speak-Up channel, maintain the complaints log, and monitor investigation and disciplinary processes.
• Promote a culture of compliance and transparency through regular training sessions and employee engagement initiatives.
• Assist in preparing quarterly compliance reports for senior management and the Board.

Eligibility

• LLB or LLM degree.
• Minimum 7–8 years of experience in legal and compliance roles.
• Prior experience in whistleblower platform/channel management.
• Background in employee engagement is preferred.
