Details of the Job/Internship
Tesco Bengaluru is hiring a Lead Contract Counsel to join their legal team in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate contracts across multiple categories.
- Offer specialised legal advice on commercial agreements.
- Implement best practices and simplify engagement processes.
- Collaborate with internal legal teams in areas such as data protection, IP, and competition law.
- Address stakeholder concerns and identify legal risks.
- Support innovation in legal service delivery.
- Liaise with Tesco lawyers across international markets.
- Ensure compliance with Tesco’s Business Code of Conduct.
- Represent Talent Acquisition in compliance and audit-related forums.
- Drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.

- Proactive self-starter capable of working independently.
- Willingness to handle diverse contract portfolios.
- Strong project management and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
