Welspun Corp Limited is hiring a Lead – Contracts for its Mumbai, Maharashtra office. Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in contract management and related legal functions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Contract Drafting & Negotiation:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure contracts align with company policies, legal standards, and business objectives.
- Collaborate with legal, procurement, and finance teams for risk mitigation.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Identify and mitigate potential contractual risks and liabilities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Contract Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end contract lifecycle, from initiation to execution and renewal.
- Implement contract management best practices, tracking key deliverables and deadlines.
- Maintain organized contract records and databases.
- Stakeholder Coordination & Vendor Management:
- Act as a liaison between internal teams, clients, vendors, and legal advisors.
- Manage supplier and vendor contracts to ensure service and cost efficiency.
- Resolve disputes and contractual conflicts in collaboration with legal teams.
- Process Improvement & Reporting:
- Develop and enhance contract management processes for efficiency and compliance.
- Prepare reports on contract performance, risks, and obligations for senior management.
- Provide training and guidance to teams on contract management and compliance.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Contract Management, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in contract management, procurement, or legal functions.
- Strong understanding of contract laws, risk assessment, and compliance.
- Experience with contract management software and ERP systems preferred.
- Proficiency in legal and commercial contract terms.
