Details of the Job/Internship
Sony Pictures Networks is hiring a Lead Counsel - Litigation with 10–15 years of post-qualification experience to join their Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft legal notices, responses, and communications.
- Review, finalize, and file proceedings before various forums including the Supreme Court, High Courts, District Courts, TDSAT, Magistrate’s Courts, and others.
- Liaise with Advocates on Record for timely filings, case updates, listings, and strategic discussions.
- Brief Senior Counsels and Counsels on litigations filed by or against the company.
- Coordinate with internal departments to collate relevant information.
- Keep stakeholders informed on litigation developments.
- Proactively provide legal solutions to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in strategically driving significant litigations involving the company.
- Ensure timely uploading of case developments and pleadings in company systems.
- Manage litigation matters filed by or against the company.
- Handle insurance claims under media liability and directors & officers policies.
Eligibility
- Law graduate (LL.M preferred).
- 10–15 years of post-qualification experience.
- Prior experience in a mid-to-large corporation (preferably Broadcasting, Media/Telecom) or a reputed law firm handling Telecom, Media, and Broadcasting clients.
