Details of the Job/Internship

Wabtec Corporation is hiring for the position of Lead Counsel Commercial to join their office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements including supply, procurement, distribution, service, and licensing contracts.
• Ensure all commercial activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal corporate policies.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and contractual risks across business functions.
• Advise stakeholders on complex legal issues, corporate governance, and policy matters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, procurement, finance, and operations.
• Support business initiatives by providing practical legal solutions that align with commercial objectives.
• Maintain current knowledge of legal developments relevant to the business.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.); advanced legal qualifications are an advantage.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• Solid understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks applicable to corporate and commercial operations.
• Strong legal research, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and advise across levels.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work setup.
• Prior experience in the transportation, manufacturing, or industrial sector is preferred.
