Details of the Job/Internship
Wabtec Corporation is hiring a Lead Counsel – Commercial with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join their office in Gurgaon.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal support in operations and commercial transactions, including contract review, negotiation, and development.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing agreements related to sales, services, property, licenses, HR, labour, and intellectual property.
- Participate in deal reviews and approval meetings.
- Handle arbitration and civil litigation matters; coordinate with external legal counsel.
- Review and vet tender documents.
- Visit and coordinate with statutory authorities for documentation and follow-ups.
- Advise on Indian regulatory issues and ensure legal compliance.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience.
- Member in good standing of one or more state bars or equivalent; in-house counsel registration where required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and executive-level presentation skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to engage effectively with senior management and peers across the organization.
