Details of the Job/Internship

GMR Group is looking for candidate for position of Lead Counsel.

Role and Responsibilities

• Contracts Management - To manage the Drafting, vetting, negotiating & finalizing the contracts; their storage and retrieval; Manage Contracts compliance matrix. As per SOP with Business team
• Drafting and advising on the Bid Documents such as RFQ, RFP etc. As per given TAT
• Research on legal issues concerning business assignments. As per SOP with Business team
• Advise on OMDA related issues. Priority/Immediate
• Standardization of general and regular contracts and review of existing standardized contracts for improvements As per requirements.
• Third Party Management – Advising internal teams on various contractual and other issues with third parties and concessionaires vis-à-vis legal implications; Drafting / vetting of exchange of communications with third parties. Priority / As per SOP with Business team
• Assist in advising on contractual issues arising under OMDA and contractual disputes thereunder as well as periodically mapping OMDA compliance matrix. Priority / AS PER REQUIREMENT
• Assist in drafting the response / representation of DIAL to government authorities on various aspects related to airport function. Priority / AS PER REQUIREMENT
• Drafting, reviewing communications with Govt. Agencies such as MOCA, AAI, C&AG, Customs Authorities and replying to parliamentary questions Priority / AS PER REQUIREMENT
• Managing the inter department processes including presentations to different teams/levels. As per the requirement.
• Manage periodic MIS to various internal stakeholders; Internal reviews reports at various levels. Release of MIS and review reports within given timelines

Eligibility

• LL.B from reputed University 
• Additional knowledge of commercial laws will be an added advantage. 
• 15+ years of post-qualification experience. 
•  Conversant with contractual laws, labour laws, industrial laws, corporate laws; local laws for undertaking business functions 
•  Mixed experience of law firm and in-house counsel. 
•  Strong exposure to drafting of contracts especially revenue-sharing, joint-venture agreements, development contracts, tender documents; financing documents under various jurisdictions 
•  Exposure to works contract, bank guarantees, import procedures; etc. 
•  Familiarity with basic civil aviation regulations 
•  Very Good drafting and oratory skills 
•  Comfortable working with and within team 
•  Comfortable in preparing presentations 
•  Good computer skills 
•  Self-starter with good stakeholder management skills, eye for detail and focus on timely delivery
