Details of the Job/Internship

Roblox is looking for a Lead Counsel for its India operations, based in Gurugram, Haryana. The position requires 10+ years of experience in legal counsel, particularly in corporate and commercial law.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist on existing, pending, and developing regulations along with identifying new trends affecting Roblox in India.
• Develop and implement procedures, policies and programs aligned to the local laws & regulations.
• Analyze and research critical legal issues and translate such research and analysis into practical advice.
• Respond to requests for compliance advice from engineering, products and marketing teams concerning time-sensitive communications and product releases.
• Provide ad-hoc support across other APAC jurisdictions, as vital.

Eligibility

• 10+ years of relevant legal experience (e.g., online gaming, online safety, privacy, social media, or content regulations).
• License to practice law in India.
• Track record of creative problem-solving with limited supervision, handling critical issues and multiple cross-functional partners.
• Critical judgment skills and the ability to analyze problems, propose solutions, and provide practical advice, taking into account the needs and objectives of the business.
• Ability to work well with a small, tightly knit team and able to handle a diverse and complex workload while maintaining priorities and proactively anticipating issues.
• Experience with applicable platform regulatory compliance requirements.
