Details of the Job/Internship

IDFC FIRST Bank is hiring a Vice President – Retail Banking Legal with a minimum of 10 years of experience to join their Legal team in Delhi. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel on retail banking matters including lending, deposits, and regulatory compliance.

Role and Responsibilities

• Advise retail banking teams on legal matters related to products and services.
• Draft and review legal documents and contracts.
• Monitor compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Conduct legal research and track regulatory updates.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop risk-mitigation policies.
• Liaise with external counsel and manage litigation.
• Represent the bank in legal proceedings.
• Train retail banking staff on legal and compliance matters.
• Recommend process improvements based on industry best practices.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized university.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong command over retail banking laws and regulatory compliance.
• Fluency in Hindi and English required.
