Details of the Job/Internship

Areness is hiring a Lead – Legal Research with relevant experience to join their office in Delhi.

Role and Responsibilities

• Research legal propositions and assist in legal strategies, drafting pleadings, and legal opinions.
• Conduct extensive legal and market research on existing laws and allied fields.
• Track cases on various legal databases, including international and foreign law databases.
• Draft and vet legal opinions.
• Research and draft comprehensive legal reports for public policy and regulatory affairs.
• Prepare and maintain a repository of judgments, circulars, notifications, etc., for internal use and marketing collaterals.
• Assist in the research, drafting, and preparation of academic content for training and student programs.
• Update internal teams with the latest judgments, circulars, and notifications.
• Participate in training, learning, and development of internal teams.
• Draft and prepare content for articles, blogs, research articles, and research papers.
• Coordinate with interns and researchers for comprehensive research papers.
• Support the Areness Foundation team for legal advisory and research assignments.

Eligibility

• Graduate/Postgraduate/Doctorate degree in Law from any recognised institution in India.
• Professional proficiency in English, with in-depth knowledge of rules of the English language, style, punctuation, and grammar.
• Knowledge of research tools such as SCC, Manupatra, AIR, etc.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to identify and interpret statutes and regulations applicable to given legal issues.
• Strong analytical and logical skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions for legal research and established methodology.
• Proficiency in presenting findings succinctly using Excel, Word, or other required formats.
