The Square Circle Clinic, NALSAR is hiring for the position of Legal Researcher to join their office in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
Research Development and Implementation:
- Contribute to the Clinic’s research agenda and oversee its execution.
- Supervise the research team, guiding the design and execution of data collection and fieldwork.
Data Analysis and Publication:
- Lead the analysis and synthesis of research findings.
- Publish academic articles in reputed peer-reviewed journals.
- Develop research briefs, reports, and white papers for dissemination.
- Produce concise articles for mainstream media and other relevant platforms.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Establish and maintain collaborations with central and state agencies in the criminal justice sector.
- Represent the Clinic at national and international forums.
Institutional Support and Mentorship:
- Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to the Clinic’s researchers.
- Contribute to the overall development and strategic direction of The Square Circle Clinic.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Undertake administrative tasks to support the Clinic’s objectives and long-term goals.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- Master’s degree in Law, Social Sciences, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated familiarity with criminal law and the Indian criminal justice system.
- Minimum two years of work experience in relevant research, policy, or criminal law practice.
- Proficiency in English and at least one Indian language is preferred.
Salary/Stipend
Rs.80,000/- per month.
