Details of the Job/Internship
MacV by McPherson & Valentine is hiring a Legal & Compliance Assistant with experience of 0–2 years to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing and organizing legal agreements such as store leases, franchise contracts, vendor agreements, and NDAs.
- Coordinate execution and renewal of legal documents and trade licenses for stores across India.
- Maintain records of compliance deadlines and support timely filings.
- Liaise with internal departments and external consultants on legal and compliance matters.
- Ensure documents are accurately filed and digitally maintained.
- Follow up with store teams and local authorities regarding municipal licenses such as Shops & Establishments, Trade Licenses, etc.
- Provide administrative support for audits and legal processes.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or a related discipline.
- 0–2 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or administrative role.
- Basic knowledge of contracts and Indian compliance requirements (Shops & Establishments, trade licenses, etc.).
- Good communication and follow-up skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Comfortable with documentation and coordination across teams.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the legal and compliance field.
