Law Office of Simran Kaur is hiring a Legal Administrative Assistant to join their team on a full-time remote basis from India. This role is ideal for a tech-forward professional who combines strong communication skills with digital literacy and enthusiasm for using technology, including AI-powered tools, to deliver faster and higher-quality work. The selected candidate will work directly with U.S.-based attorneys, supporting day-to-day operations through document preparation, client communication, and workflow automation. The role requires comfort with technology, adaptability to new tools, and the ability to communicate clearly across languages and time zones.
Role and Responsibilities
- Using AI-powered tools to assist with drafting, research, summarization, and data extraction under attorney supervision.
- Building and maintaining automated workflows using project management and automation tools.
- Processing automated email notifications and managing digital filing workflows.
- Preparing PDF forms, handling data entry, and conducting quality checks on documents.
- Managing and organizing files within cloud-based practice management systems.
- Drafting, proofreading, and editing correspondence, legal documents, and reports.
- Organizing and maintaining digital files accurately and promptly.
- Conducting research and compiling data as directed.
- Monitoring deadlines and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Communicating with clients and third parties in English, Punjabi, and/or Hindi.
- Translating documents between English and Punjabi.
- Scheduling appointments and managing calendars across time zones.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive client information.
- Handling emails, calls, and daily administrative communication.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree (BCA, MCA, BBA, B.Com, LL.B., or related field preferred).
- Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual or trilingual in English and Punjabi and/or Hindi.
- Strong digital literacy and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a remote environment.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace.
- Willingness to overlap at least 4–5 hours with U.S. Pacific or Mountain Time.
- Preferred experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.
- Prior experience in a KPO, LPO, or U.S.-based remote support role is preferred.
- Familiarity with practice management software such as Clio or MyCase, project management tools like ClickUp, Trello, or Asana, and automation platforms such as Zapier or Make is advantageous.
- Experience with PDF tools, e-filing systems, or document automation workflows is a plus.
- Background in IT, computer science, or demonstrated technical skills is desirable.
- Ability to write in Gurmukhi script is an advantage.
