Details of the Job/Internship
The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Saudi Arabia is hiring a Legal Advisor (Corporate) with experience of 5 years to join their office in Riyadh.
Role and Responsibilities
Legal Advisory Services:
- Provide legal counsel on corporate matters, including contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance.
- Advise on intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
Contract Review and Negotiation:
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, such as vendor contracts, licensing agreements, and service-level agreements.
- Analyze proposed transactions and recommend mitigation strategies for legal risks.
Corporate Governance:
- Advise on corporate governance matters, including drafting and maintaining company bylaws and the Articles of Association.
- Oversee the maintenance of corporate records and filings to ensure compliance.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations and recommend actions to ensure the organization remains compliant.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to resolve legal and compliance issues.
Training and Policy Development:
- Develop and implement legal policies, procedures, and contract templates to streamline operations.
- Provide training to employees on legal and compliance-related topics.
External Counsel Management:
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel for specialized legal matters or litigation cases.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB or LLM) from an accredited institution.
- Additional qualifications in corporate law or compliance are preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years as a corporate attorney or in-house legal counsel, with expertise in contracts, governance, and compliance.
- Proven track record in managing complex transactions and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in the FMCG sector or similar industries is advantageous.
Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and drafting abilities for contracts and agreements.
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi corporate law and international legal frameworks.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities.
- High ethical standards and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
