Details of the Job/Internship
FiatPe is hiring a Legal Advisor – Fintech with experience of 2–3 years to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Interpret and ensure compliance with fintech regulations including RBI guidelines, digital lending norms, payment regulations, and data protection laws.
- Monitor changes in financial and technology regulations and advise management on legal risks.
- Assist in licensing, filings, and regulatory communication with authorities.
- Draft, review, and negotiate vendor agreements, merchant agreements, NDAs, MSAs, SLAs, partnership, and API integration agreements.
- Maintain and update standard legal templates and policies.
- Provide day-to-day legal support to product, operations, finance, and technology teams.
- Review new product features, marketing campaigns, and partnerships for legal and regulatory risks.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and information security regulations.
- Draft and update privacy policies, terms of use, and user agreements.
- Identify potential legal risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Support handling of customer disputes, notices, and litigation coordination with external counsel.
- Assist in corporate governance, board documentation, and company secretarial coordination.
- Support due diligence for investors, partnerships, and business expansion.
Eligibility
- LLB from a recognized university (LLM preferred).
- Enrolled with Bar Council of India.
- 2–3 years of experience in fintech, NBFC, or banking.
