Details of the Job/Internship

Freedom Broker Global Markets is hiring a Legal Advisor to provide day-to-day legal support to business and support teams, including Operations, IT, and HR, in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on UAE laws and financial services regulation, particularly within ADGM, UAE mainland CMA, and CBUAE frameworks, and involves acting as an in-house legal point of contact for regulatory and transactional matters in brokerage and investment services.

Role and Responsibilities

• Providing day-to-day legal advice to business and support teams on UAE laws and financial services regulations, with occasional multi-jurisdictional input.
• Handling corporate secretarial and entity governance matters, including board and shareholder resolutions, corporate calendars, board meeting support, and ADGM portal filings.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and maintaining templates and playbooks.
• Reviewing and updating internal policies and procedures in line with regulatory expectations and operational requirements.
• Monitoring regulatory developments and circulating concise legal updates with recommended actions.
• Supporting legal operations through implementation of templates, workflows, checklists, and knowledge resources.
• Assisting with regulatory interactions and reporting under supervision.
• Supporting cross-border matters by coordinating legal analysis and liaising with external counsel.

Eligibility

• Working knowledge of UAE law, including ADGM and UAE mainland.
• Ability to independently research and understand financial services regulations under ADGM FSRA, UAE mainland CMA, and CBUAE.
• Strong legal drafting, review, and advisory skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and support cross-border legal issues.
