Details of the Job/Internship
Lykis Limited is hiring a Legal Advisor to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on matters related to export/ international trade/ customs or any other law/ regulation under which the company’s operations fall.
- Trademark registration and renewal experience are mandatory
- Knowledge of property registration outright / drafting of rent agreement/agreement of sale / MOU.
- Agreement of Buyer and supplier understanding/knowledge of housing society matters.
- Follow-up with vendor/supplier/buyer for legal matters.
- Interpret relevant laws, regulations, and government guidelines affecting export operations.
- Offer legal advice to department heads regarding adherence to prescribed SOPs and compliance with government regulations.
Agreement Drafting and Vetting:
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with suppliers and buyers to protect company properties.
- Ensure that agreements are comprehensive, legally sound, and align with company objectives and standards.
Negotiation Skills and Relationship Management:
- Demonstrate excellent negotiating skills in handling all legal and commercial matters.
- Maintain strong relationships with external counsels, vendors, and partners to ensure effective collaboration and legal support.
Timely Completion of Tasks:
- Manage workload efficiently to ensure completion of tasks before deadlines.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail in handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Legal Document Drafting:
- Prepare and draft various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations in all drafted documents.
Self-Update on Legal Laws:
- Stay informed about changes in legal laws, regulations, and industry trends relevant to export operations.
- Continuously update legal knowledge and skills to provide effective legal counsel and support.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with department heads.
- Proactively follow up on ongoing tasks and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Advise department heads on legal matters and ensure adherence to prescribed SOPs and government guidelines.
- Liable To assist/ take care, of any legal matter/activity, that has been assigned by the HOD or Director.
Eligibility
- Proven experience as a Legal Advisor/ Corporate Lawyer, preferably in the export industry.
- Knowledge of Export Terms/ International trade/Customs laws and regulations (preferably).
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and stakeholders.
- Proven track record of completing tasks before deadlines and effectively managing follow-ups.
- Ability to maintain relationships with external counsel and stay updated on legal laws and industry trends.
Salary/Stipend
