Details of the Job/Internship
Lykis Limited is hiring for the position of Legal Advisor to join their office in Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Role and Responsibilities
Legal Advisory
- Provide legal advice on matters related to export, international trade, customs, and other applicable laws/regulations.
- Mandatory: Trademark registration, renewals, and protection.
- Advise on property-related matters, including registration, rent agreements, agreements of sale, and MoUs.
- Offer guidance on buyer–supplier agreements and housing society-related issues.
- Interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, and government guidelines impacting export operations.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs and compliance frameworks across departments.
Contract Management & Drafting
- Draft, review, and vet agreements with suppliers, buyers, vendors, and property-related contracts.
- Ensure contracts are comprehensive, legally sound, and aligned with company objectives.
- Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and opinions with accuracy and compliance.
Negotiation & Relationship Management
- Handle negotiations on legal and commercial matters effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external counsels, vendors, and partners.
Compliance & Legal Updates
- Stay updated with legal and regulatory changes impacting export and business operations.
- Ensure timely renewals, registrations, and adherence to applicable laws.
Execution & Follow-Ups
- Manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines with accuracy.
- Maintain proactive follow-ups with stakeholders, providing updates on ongoing matters.
- Assist HODs/Directors with any legal assignments as required.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); Master’s (LLM) preferred.
- Proven experience as a Legal Advisor/Corporate Lawyer, ideally in the export or international trade sector.
- Strong knowledge of export laws, customs regulations, and international trade practices.
- Expertise in trademark registration and renewals.
- Strong drafting, vetting, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in property-related legal documentation (sale deeds, rent agreements, MoUs).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities with a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Ability to stay current with legal and industry developments and apply them to business operations.
Salary/Stipend
