Details of the Job/Internship
NatWest Group is seeking a Legal Advisor to provide expert and cost-effective legal advice, Corporate Governance deliverables, and advisory services. You'll ensure clarity for businesses and stakeholders, manage external advisers, and oversee timely delivery of transactions and projects while proactively minimizing legal risks
Role and Responsibilities
- Advising on legal queries, drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and leases
- Providing assistance in litigation related matters, supporting on all Corporate Governance deliverables or Companies Act compliances
- Driving and ensuring robust corporate or Board governance
- Working with panel law firms for opinion on specific matters
- Examining new laws, amendments and advising on their implementation and impact
- Striving for continuous improvement in the operating practices and processes, including identifying efficiencies, improvements and opportunities to reduce costs
Eligibility
- Relevant Experience: Minimum of six years of experience working in multinational companies with exposure to global interfaces or in prominent law firms.
- Knowledge of Companies Act: Good understanding and experience of Companies Act and rules.
- Qualifications: Qualified Company Secretary and Law graduate.
- Relationship Building: Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with businesses and stakeholders.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting legal and statutory information clearly to non-lawyers.
- Collaboration: Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
