Details of the Job/Internship

ShipGlobal.in is looking for a candidate for the position of Legal Advisor with 6 to 10 years of experience.

Role and Responsibilities

• Legal Advisory: Advise senior management and the board on legal matters, including corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, and strategic business decisions.
• Corporate Compliance: Ensure that the company complies with corporate laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where it operates.
• Contract Review: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents to ensure they align with company policies and minimize risks.
• Regulatory Oversight: Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that affect the company and ensure that policies and procedures are in place for compliance.
• Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks related to corporate operations and provide guidance to minimize or mitigate those risks.
• Dispute Resolution: Provide advice and support on litigation matters, including managing disputes, arbitration, and negotiation settlements.
• Corporate Governance: Oversee corporate governance structures and ensure compliance with legal frameworks governing the organization.
• Policy Development: Assist in the creation and implementation of internal policies and procedures that align with legal standards and promote best practices across the company.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with different departments such as finance, HR, and operations to provide integrated legal solutions.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise with external legal advisors, regulators, and government authorities on various legal matters.

Eligibility

• Education: LLB or equivalent legal qualification; LLM is a plus.
• Experience: 6-10 years of experience as a corporate lawyer, preferably with exposure to both in-house legal teams and law firms.

Salary/Stipend
