Social Donut is hiring a Legal Advisor with experience of 2 to 5 years to join their office in Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal support for corporate and tax matters, with a focus on domestic and international regulations applicable to Indian businesses.
- Draft and review contracts for clients, employees and investors, ensuring compliance with all relevant Indian laws.
- Conduct due diligence reviews for the organization analyzing potential legal risks and opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant legal developments and industry trends.
Eligibility
- A Law degree (LLB) from a recognized Indian university or a Company Secretary (CS) qualification from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), or an equivalent combination of qualifications.
- 2-5 years of experience in a legal environment in India, with a focus on corporate or commercial law.
- Excellent analytical and research skills, with the ability to identify legal issues and propose solutions within the legal framework.
- Strong drafting and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and understanding of legal writing conventions.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Working knowledge of relevant Indian legislation, including the Companies Act, DPDP and Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
