Details of the Job/Internship
Standard Bank Group is hiring a Legal Advisor with 2 years of post-admission experience to support delegated legal objectives, including case planning, development and management, legal research, and the drafting and analysis of legal documents. The role involves applying technical knowledge to make recommendations to the legal team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Providing basic to intermediate technical legal advice to internal Legal Teams, Product Areas and external legal representatives.
- Building and developing relationships across internal legal teams and stakeholders to ensure the business unit remains informed of developments.
- Consulting with internal clients to understand business requirements and providing legal advice on drafting, vetting, reviewing, disseminating and negotiating standard legal documentation and processes.
- Developing and managing relationships with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Responding to business requests with effective and efficient execution of transactions, utilising technology.
Eligibility
- Bachelor of Laws degree.
- Admitted Legal Practitioner in the High Court of Namibia.
- 2 years’ post-admission legal advisory experience in a law firm, corporate or financial services environment.
