Details of the Job/Internship

Sustainology, based in Bengaluru, is actively seeking a Legal Advisor with expertise in Environmental Law and Policy. In this role, you will hold a pivotal position in shaping the legal framework and company policies of Sustainology. Your responsibilities will extend to forging strategic partnerships and driving the company's growth through innovative business strategies.

Role and Responsibilities

• Legal and Compliance: Oversee all legal aspects of Sustainology, including drafting, reviewing, and advising on contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations pertinent to ESG consulting and carbon credits trading. 
• Strategic Partnerships: Identify, develop, and maintain strategic partnerships within the ESG, sustainability, and carbon trading sectors to enhance Sustainology's market presence and service offerings. 
• Funding and Investment: Explore and secure funding opportunities, including grants, investments, and partnerships, to support Sustainology's growth and initiatives. 
• Business Development: Craft compelling business proposals, memorandums of understanding (MOUs), and other critical business documents to facilitate new ventures and collaborations. 
• Policy Advocacy: Stay abreast of and influence policies and regulations affecting the ESG and carbon trading landscapes, advocating for favorable conditions for Sustainology and its stakeholders. 
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with clients, partners, investors, and regulatory bodies, representing Sustainology in a professional and ethical manner. 

Eligibility

• Masters degree in Law ,Environmental Law or related fields. A Master's degree or a law degree (JD) is preferred. 
• Proven experience in legal practice, with a strong preference for candidates with expertise in environmental law, ESG compliance, or carbon markets. 
• Demonstrable experience in business development, partnership building, and funding acquisition within the sustainability, ESG, or carbon trading sectors.
