Details of the Job/Internship

Sunpower India Ventures Pvt. Ltd is looking for a candidate for the position of Legal Advocate to join them at their office in Pune.

Role and Responsibilities

• Land Acquisition and Leasing: Manage the legal aspects of acquiring and leasing land for solar and wind projects, including negotiations, contract drafting, and due diligence.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and national regulations and standards related to land use and environmental protection.
• Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate land-related contracts, including purchase agreements, lease agreements, and easements.
• Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve land-related disputes and issues, working with legal counsel and other parties as needed.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with landowners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate project approvals and community relations.
• Project Support: Provide legal support to project teams throughout the lifecycle of solar and wind projects, from initial planning through to construction and operation.

Eligibility

• Legal Expertise: Bachelor's degree in Law or related field and a valid license to practice law in [relevant jurisdiction] an added advantage. Experience in land use law, real estate, or energy law is highly desirable.
• Experience: Proven track record in managing land acquisition and legal matters in the renewable energy sector or a related field.
• Skills: Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and best practices in the solar and wind energy sectors.
• Passion: A genuine interest in renewable energy and a commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
