It is promoted by five prominent co-operative institutions -
The Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF, popularly known as the AMUL), Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), Krishak Bharati Co-operative Limited (KRIBHCO), National Agricultural Co-operative Marketing Federation of India Limited (NAFED), and National Co-operative Development Corporation (NCDC).
Details of the Job/Internship
National Co-operative Exports Limited is hiring for the position of Legal Affairs Manager with experience of 7-10 years to join their New Delhi office.
Role and Responsibilities
Legal & Compliance:
- Oversee and manage all legal and compliance-related activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs and training.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability.
Corporate Regulatory:
- Advise on corporate governance issues and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review corporate filings and documentation.
- Monitor changes in corporate law and regulatory trends to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and manage regulatory inquiries and inspections.
Trades:
- Provide legal support related to trading activities, including contract negotiation, drafting, and management.
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations and policies.
- Address legal issues related to trading operations and resolve disputes.
Global Arbitration:
- Manage and oversee global arbitration proceedings, including the preparation and submission of legal documents.
- Represent the company in arbitration cases and liaise with external counsel.
- Provide strategic legal advice on dispute resolution and arbitration strategies.
Company Secretary:
- Perform the duties of a company secretary, including maintaining statutory records and ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards.
- Organize and prepare agendas for board meetings, general meetings, and shareholder meetings.
- Assist in drafting resolutions and minutes of meetings
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in law (LLB) or equivalent; advanced degree (LLM or JD) preferred.
- Certification as a Company Secretary (CS) is highly desirable.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in legal and compliance roles, with a focus on corporate regulatory matters and global arbitration.
- Proven expertise in trade regulations and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in scaling up Greenfield or Brownfield projects during current or prior stints.
