Details of the Job/Internship

Yotta Data Services is hiring a Legal Affairs Team Member with 3–5 years of experience.

Role and Responsibilities

Contract & Documentation:

• Draft and vet contracts (NDAs, SLAs, vendor agreements, leases, MoUs, POAs, etc.)
• Prepare legal documents such as notices, letters, and agreements

Corporate & Cross-Functional Support:

• Work with departments like HR, Finance, Marketing on legal matters
• Provide legal advisory across business functions

Risk & Compliance:

• Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks in contracts
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies
• Stay updated with legal developments

Litigation & Dispute Management:

• Handle litigation matters (civil, criminal, consumer, arbitration, labour, IPR)
• Coordinate with external counsel and manage documentation

Due Diligence & Records:

• Conduct due diligence and title verification
• Maintain legal records, databases, and contract lifecycle tracking

Reporting & Governance:

• Report to senior management on legal tasks and risks
• Participate in risk assessment and compliance processes
• Ensure adherence to internal management systems and confidentiality policies

Eligibility

• Law degree (LLB or equivalent)
• 3–5 years of PQE
• Experience in in-house legal roles (preferred)
• Background in IT/ITeS industry is a plus
• Strong knowledge of Indian Contract Law, Labour Laws, Cyber Laws, Data Protection, IPR, ADR, and commercial laws
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and multitasking abilities

Salary/Stipend
