Details of the Job/Internship

Ciena is hiring a Legal Analyst (APJ) to support the Office of Customer Contracting and the APJ Legal team.

Role and Responsibilities

• Office of Customer Contracting (OCC):
  • Draft letters and simple amendments outlining commercial arrangements with customers.
  • Coordinate with sales, services, finance, and commercial teams for contract review and response preparation.
  • Manage customer contracting processes within the CLM system for approvals and signatures.
  • Support government bids/tenders and manage documentation and certifications with partners.
• General APJ Legal Support:
  • Assist in reviewing and negotiating trial, evaluation, sales, license, services, reseller, and distribution agreements.
  • Support preparation of responses to RFPs, RFQs, and other tender documents.
  • Ensure proper administration, approval, and tracking of customer agreements.
  • Participate in strategic projects and other assigned legal tasks.

Eligibility

• Graduate degree, legal qualification, or relevant work experience.
• More than 2 years of experience in reviewing and/or drafting commercial contracts (desirable).
• Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management systems is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-geographical team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional work ethic and willingness to work flexible hours.

Salary/Stipend
