Details of the Job/Internship
WTW is hiring a Legal Analyst – Contract Reviewer / Negotiation Support with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join their office in Vikhroli.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and recommend amendments to US and English law contracts as per guidelines and playbooks.
- Provide legal support to internal clients across business lines through email and Teams calls.
- Support negotiations with external counterparties to manage risk and achieve desired outcomes.
- Work on the WTW Contract Lifecycle Management System (COMET) and coordinate with the Sales Operations Centre of Excellence.
- Escalate complex issues to the Team Lead or relevant in-country Legal Team as per protocols.
- Ensure high-quality work with an understanding of the financial and legal implications of contract provisions.
- Consistently meet agreed service levels in the contract review process.
- Adhere to WTW and OGC policies, playbooks, and compliance requirements.
- Report errors or concerns to the Team Lead.
- Participate in team meetings, stakeholder discussions, and required interactions.
- Complete mandatory training relevant to the role.
- Note: This role does not involve litigation work.
Eligibility
- Graduate (Bachelor of Laws).
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in commercial contract drafting, redlining, and negotiation.
- Experience with US or UK laws.
- At least 4 years of experience reviewing and supporting negotiation of services or software contracts from sell-side and/or buy-side perspectives.
- Strong drafting skills and excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to apply critical thinking and handle complex contract reviews.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
- Experience working with internal clients on risk analysis of contractual terms.
- Organised, adaptable, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or in teams.
- Knowledge of GDPR or US privacy laws is an advantage.
- Experience in financial services or a corporate environment is an added advantage.
