Details of the Job/Internship

Jay Maharaj Software Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is hiring a Legal Analyst – Document Review & Compliance (US Law) for a full-time, on-site night shift role in Ahmedabad. The role involves reviewing, analyzing, and correcting legal documents, contracts, and policies under U.S. law to identify potential legal risks and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Role and Responsibilities

• Review and interpret legal documents including contracts, NDAs, MoUs, and compliance documents.
• Identify clauses or terms that may expose the company to risk or liability.
• Recommend edits or alternative legal language aligned with U.S. law.
• Ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align legal and business objectives.
• Draft or revise standard legal templates and clauses.
• Maintain awareness of U.S. legal developments affecting corporate agreements.
• Support internal audits and compliance reviews as required.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B./LL.M./J.D. or equivalent).
• Minimum 6 months of experience in contract review, legal document analysis, or corporate law (U.S. jurisdiction preferred).
• Strong understanding of U.S. contract law, corporate compliance, and legal terminology.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong drafting, editing, and redlining skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with document management or contract lifecycle tools preferred.
• Familiarity with U.S. legal frameworks such as UCC, FTC, and GDPR is an advantage.
