Details of the Job/Internship
Lawvek is hiring a Legal Associate – US Commercial Contracts with experience of 3–10+ years to join their remote team in India.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review and validate US commercial contracts processed through the AI platform.
- Ensure contracts are legally sound, commercially practical, and aligned with US law.
- Review and negotiate MSAs, NDAs, DPAs, SaaS and technology services contracts, and vendor and transaction-related agreements.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of structured legal playbooks and decision models.
- Define review standards, turnaround benchmarks, and quality expectations.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve workflows and contract analysis logic.
- Provide ongoing feedback to enhance system accuracy and performance.
Eligibility
- Three to ten plus years of practical experience reviewing US commercial contracts.
- Exposure to US-based companies, cross-border transactions, or global commercial arrangements.
- Background in Big 4 or consulting firms, in-house legal or General Counsel teams, or transaction advisory roles.
- Strong independent judgment and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Interest in legal technology and AI-driven systems.
- US Bar qualification is not required.
