Details of the Job/Internship

Jordan & Jordan is hiring a Legal Analyst to join their Market Data Licensing practice in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The role involves reviewing market data licensing, vendor, and technology agreements; interpreting contractual provisions and usage policies; supporting market data audits and compliance assessments; managing reporting obligations and inventory processes; and advising clients on the administration of market data and related licences. The position also includes assisting with contract drafting, reviewing client and vendor agreements, and advising on matters involving contract law, intellectual property, and data privacy.

Role and Responsibilities

• Review market data licensing, vendor, and technology agreements.
• Interpret contractual provisions and market data usage policies.
• Support market data audits and internal compliance assessments.
• Manage reporting obligations and inventory processes.
• Advise clients on the administration of market data and related licences.
• Assist with contract drafting and reviewing client and vendor agreements.
• Provide internal legal support on contract law, intellectual property, and data privacy matters.

Eligibility

• J.D. degree, with a focus on contracts or intellectual property preferred.
• Strong interest in building a career in the financial services industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented, flexible, and able to manage multiple tasks.

Salary/Stipend
